A native of Montana, Marie Shirley Jones lives in Red Lodge and is retired from teaching K-8 art in the Red Lodge Schools. Marie is passionate about fiber art and loves exploring various possibilities to enhance or alter her work. For Marie, the excitement is in not knowing how something will turn out.  Vintage linens are often included in her art, along with hand-stitching. She paints dye onto fabric at home and then takes it with her on road trips with her husband, where she does the hand-stitching. Marie focuses a lot of energy on her art and makes it an integral part of her days.
